    It's a cute place with generous portion sizes. I came in with a friend for a quick dinner without reservations. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated immediately. The food was good for the price and the service was great.

    From the moment I walked into Zatar, I felt as if I'd been transported to the Middle East. The simple yet striking decor and the presentation of the delicious food felt authentic and comforting at the same time. (Had the breakfast soufflé and the mint tea and both were OUTSTANDING.) The staff was also welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed. (I was also impressed by the arm strength of our server - who simultaneously carried TWO wooden boards with bread and hot pots on them! ) Will absolutely be back to try more dishes, but in the meantime I highly recommend you do too!

    Food was yummy. There's a wait but only bc the food was good and ppl are willing to wait. Grabbed a late lunch with a friend from out of town per her suggestion. Cute place, homie feel. Lack the extra star bc my only dislike was leaving here smelling like fried food. They need to work on their ventilation system so it's not coming out to their dinning area. Well seasoned food. Great flavors.

    Zatar Cafe & Bistro serves Mediterranean / Middle Eastern Fusion cuisine & the one at this location is on 8th Ave in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn. We decided to come and try this place for brunch one Sunday before heading out for our annual / biannual visit to IKEA in Redhook. The establishment has colorful / vibrant decor. It is cool that word "Zatar" is etched on some of the indoor dining tables. Zatar's space includes the front register area where one can order things to go, including fresh baked goods, coffee, tea, etc. Customers can also order takeout and delivery as well as enjoy outdoor and indoor dining. Zatar Cafe & Bistro provided us with a nice indoor dining experience. We ordered the following: 1.) Yemeni Souffle - eggs, ground beef & spices cooked in zatar's stonepot & served with pita. 2.) Chicken Shawarma - sautéed spiced chicken, onions, greens, tomatoes & white sauce in a pita. 3.) Yemenade & Raspberry Lemonade. The dishes were well-prepared and arrived to the table piping hot! Everything smelled amazing, was well-seasoned & tasted great. The Yemenade and raspberry lemonade were both refreshing.
